We slip away from the main boulevards into the quiet residential lanes that lead to the outer perimeter of Aoyama Cemetery — a wide, calm stretch that feels worlds away from central Tokyo, though it’s only minutes from its heart. This is where the specific aesthetic of Japanese horror makes sense: not loud or violent, but quiet, subtle and unsettling in the best possible way.
Along the route, your guide shares curated Japanese urban legends, ghost folklore and “liminal space” stories tied to the very streets, crossings and boundaries you walk. The goal isn’t to “prove” the supernatural, but to let these places create an atmosphere of lingering mystery.

Absolutely incredible experience and one of the most unique things I've done in Tokyo. I loved how the tour leaned into the darker side of the city — the Yakuza stories, hidden history, local legends and the spiritual side of Tokyo. The cemetery walks, ghost stories and urban legends felt immersive and authentic, especially at night. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable.

A very curious and intriguing introduction to the secrets and hidden stories of Tokyo's Shibuya district. The final walk through the quiet, moonlit cemetery creates a mysterious and yet very moving atmosphere. You couldn't ask for a more attentive and knowledgeable tour guide.

Kanta was a fantastic host! We spent 2+ hours walking amongst various Shibuya neighborhoods and back alleyways, learning about local history and dark tales. The walk through a graveyard was a chilling highlight of the evening. A truly enjoyable experience.
